Open the app, write one thought about your day, and pick a mood. Add a few context cards: how you were feeling, the weather, who you were with, what you ate. Done.
The simplicity is a feature. Capsule won’t have things like multiple entries per day, rich text formatting, tagging systems, or daily writing prompts.
The optimal workflow in Capsule is to open the app once a day and capture a single honest thought. The app is designed for consistency and reflection, not for building an elaborate journaling habit you’ll eventually abandon.
Your entries sync across your devices and are backed up securely in the cloud.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why only one entry per day?
One thought forces you to distill your day to what actually mattered. More entries turns it into a feed.
Can I edit a past entry?
Yes. Tap any day on the calendar to open and edit it.
What are cards?
Cards are optional context you can attach to an entry: emotions, weather, people, meals, and more. They help you spot patterns over time in the Stats tab.
Do I need an account?
No. You can use Capsule anonymously. Creating a Google account lets you back up your entries to the cloud and access them if you switch devices.
Is my data private?
Your entries are stored in your personal account and are not shared or used for anything.
Does it work offline?
Capsule requires an internet connection to save entries.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing. You can go back and fill in any past day, or just leave it blank.
Can I export my data?
Not yet, but it is on the roadmap.
